Airport to consider amendments

The Santa Maria Pubic Airport District board of directors will consider a pair of contract amendments for a runway extension project tonight at its regularly scheduled meeting.

The board meets at 7 p.m. in the Airport Administration Building.

The first is a change order from Granite Construction, the general contractor in charge of the first phase of the project. The board approved of the selection of Granite Construction to handle the second phase of the project, as well. That selection is pending review of insurance and bonds.

The second amendment is with Tartaglia Engineering for a project-management contract for second phase construction.
